The publication of Analogue is the first systematic collection of her drawings, following that of her films. It includes the drawings not only on paper but also, for example, on wall panels, on alabaster and on photographs.

Drawing is closely linked to the cinematic works in Tacita Dean’s oeuvre, as from it she acquires stimuli for their initial stages. This publication on the occasion of the exhibition in Schaulager contains an essay by Theodora Vischer, in which the connection between drawing and film is revealed through numerous examples.
